This weekend was a busy beautiful weekend and I made my way to Chadburn Cres to visit residents and hear directly from them their thoughts about the neighbourhood and our Town. Well everyone I met this weekend was very pleased with the neighbourhood and quite happy to be living in Aurora. One issue that did come up was that of property standards and vacant properties. I mentioned that the Town will be looking to both impose a vacant property tax as well as standards for properties will be more closely scrutinized to better ensure that our Town and neighbourhoods stay beautiful!! Also many residents were very excited about the direction and vision of Library Square. They mentioned that they are happy with Council making decisions to move forward with the demolition of the old buildings after so many years of indecision… Have a great week everyone, maybe next week I will see you on your street..
