22 & 26 Centre St

Last night, at our Public Planning meeting, Council saw an application to convert two lots – 22 and 26 Centre st., in the Northeast Old Aurora Heritage District – that are currently occupied by single family homes into a 12 unit town home complex with a new street. I did not support the application for a number of reasons, but most important of which was because I did not and do not believe this application meets the requirements of our Heritage District Plan. I put forward that the application be refused outright as it does not conform to the Town’s Heritage District Plan or Official Plan, My motion passed… Here are my comments on the application:
